that brrrr cold! Would you like a hot soup of leeks?

As I have already anticipated in the post quince every year for us Porro Cervere Festival in November, is a fixture! We are particularly fond of because it was now 8 years ago, the first "public appearance" by me and Enzo to "officially engaged"! And like clockwork, every year when approaching in November we are going to inform us on what are the weekend in which it takes: if then I think that after the first time this year we engaged with our puppy back to nearly 5 years .... well, I get excited even more!
But Porro Festival, as well as having an important symbolic value for myself, is a manifestation of far-off tradition, turns his attention to the promotion of this product to your Cervere grown, a variety of long leek and sweet, the wondrous potential in the kitchen!


We do not miss the annual event also because we usually stock up on leeks as escorts for the winter, sold in large clusters in fact, if buried (protected from possible ice) remain as fresh until next March!

For those not coming from too far away, Cervo is situated in Cuneo Province, not far from Bra: I suggest a visit to the weekend of November, you can buy leeks, and you can dine under the palaporro, with delicious dishes prepared by cooks of the local tourist board, based on obvious, leeks !

LEEK SOUP

Ingredients (4 people)
• 200/250 gr leek
• 40 g butter (or oil)
• 40 grams of flour

Preparation (Thermomix)
